Electromagnetics for Engineers is designed for a 1-semester undergraduate course on the fundamentals of electromagnetics and its electronic applications. The book’s companion website EME2e.eecs.umich.edu contains numerous exercises and computer simulation modules.

For a significant number of universities, their electrical and computer engineering programs require only one EM course en route to the B.S. degree. Given the limited availability of good texts designed to cover both statics and dynamics in a single course, many instructors have opted either to use a book with a relatively superficial coverage of electromagnetics or to delete coverage of certain topics in a two-semester textbook in order to meet the one-course time limitation. Neither solution is satisfactory, and that is what prompted me to develop this new book, Electromagnetics for Engineers.
